Catering Assistant – Dublin 10 | Healthcare Catering Role

We are recruiting a Catering Assistant to work in a healthcare facility in Dublin 10, supporting daily food preparation, meal service and hygiene standards.

This role supports the delivery of safe, nutritious meals for patients and staff and plays an important part in maintaining a clean, organised and respectful healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals and beverages in line with dietary and portion requirements
Deliver meals to wards and assist patients respectfully during mealtimes
Maintain cleanliness across kitchens, food preparation areas, trolleys and equipment
Follow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures at all times
Stock, label and rotate ward pantry supplies to maintain freshness and compliance
Work closely with catering teams, ward staff and supervisors to support smooth service delivery

Requirements

6–12 months’ experience in catering or a busy kitchen environment
(healthcare experience is an advantage)
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Ability to provide five years of verifiable employment references
Strong teamwork, communication and reliability
Flexibility to work daytime shifts across a rotating roster

Pay & Benefits

€17.53 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Full-time, daytime shifts only
(typically 7:00am – 6:30pm)
