We are recruiting Catering Assistants to join a busy healthcare facility in Navan, supporting the safe preparation, delivery and service of nutritious meals for patients and staff.

This is a frontline healthcare catering role where your work directly supports patient wellbeing, service quality and daily hospital operations. Ideal for candidates with experience in catering, kitchen assistant roles or healthcare food service.

  
Key Responsibilities:
  
Prepare and serve meals and beverages in line with dietary and nutritional guidelines
Deliver meals to wards and assist patients respectfully during mealtimes
Support kitchen operations, including food preparation and plating assistance
Maintain high standards of hygiene across kitchens, equipment, trolleys and utensils
Follow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures at all times
Stock, label and rotate ward pantry supplies correctly
Work closely with catering teams, kitchen staff and ward teams to ensure smooth service
  
Requirements:
  
6–12 months’ experience in catering assistant or kitchen assistant roles
Experience in healthcare catering, hospital kitchens or high-volume food service is an advantage
Strong understanding of HACCP food safety standards
Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
Reliable, flexible and a strong team player with good communication skills
Full Driver's License (Desirable)  
  
Salary & Benefits
  
€17.53 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Full-time daytime hours, typically 7:00am–6:30pm, supporting work–life balance
