An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Bar Supervisor to join our great team here at Hodson Bay Hotel. The ideal candidate should be energetic, customer focused and should possess excellent communication skills. They should have the ability to work well under pressure. As part of the Food & Beverage team you will be responsible for assisting the Manager to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of service whilst ensuring our guests have a positive experience. We work together as a team to ensure that we exceed guest expectations every time. We do this by ensuring the highest standards of products are on offer and by achieving excellent service standards at all times. Exceeding guest expectations is part of our service culture. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Manager to manage the day-to-day operations, to ensure the smooth running of service, and our guests have a positive experience. Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding levels of service at all times. To take control and responsibility for the Hotel's Bar in the absence of your manager. To assist and carry out training as required. To carry out all supervisory duties as per the agreed SOP standards. Deliver exceptional guest service with a warm, professional approach. Engage with guests to recommend drinks, explain cocktail menus, and personalise experiences. Handle guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across the bar Required Skills and Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in a 4* Hotel working as a Senior Bartender/Bar Supervisor. Excellent Customer Service & Communication Skills. Be an excellent Team Leader & motivate the team. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to work Previous experience working in a busy hotel F&B outlet is preferred. Strong cocktail‑making and mixology skills, including classic and contemporary techniques. Knowledge of wine, spirits, and premium beverage brands. Self-motivated and task orientated.
