Cleaning Supervisor
Ballina, Co Mayo - Full time

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team in a busy production and manufacturing facility in Ballina. This is a hands-on role where you’ll supervise the cleaner operatives, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and compliance are achieved, while also stepping in to support with cleaning duties when needed. Alongside leading the team, you’ll manage key operational tasks such as rota planning, training, and audits—keeping everything running smoothly and maintaining audit-ready standards.

What you'll do
Supervise and support the team cleaning operatives.

Carry out cleaning duties alongside the team when required.

Monitor and maintain the highest standards of cleaning and hygiene across all areas

Supervise, motivate, and support a team of direct reports to achieve operational goals

Deliver team briefs, huddles, and performance reviews, identifying development needs

Oversee the delivery, distribution, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and materials

Carry out regular audits on cleaning standards and implement corrective actions when needed

Monitor and maintain health & safety standards, ensuring adherence to COSHH regulations

Report equipment faults and ensure company resources are well cared for

Attend training as required to continue professional development

Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management

Plan rotas, manage holiday cover, and organise shift schedules

Represent Sodexo professionally, building strong client relationships.

What you'll bring
Strong knowledge of COSHH and safe chemical use.
Manual Handling trained with risk assessment experience.
Skilled in using industrial cleaning equipment.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage health & safety.
Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Strong communication and customer service skills.
