We are seeking a Procurement Officer to join our Supply Chain team. This is a key operational role focused on sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and ensuring compliance with food safety and procurement standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support production and drive efficiency across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Source and purchase ingredients and packaging materials. Identify and onboard new suppliers to support innovation and supply chain resilience. Conduct site visits to assess supplier capabilities and ensure alignment with quality standards. Monitor commodity and raw material market trends to inform purchasing decisions. Lead initial pricing discussions and support early-stage negotiations. Manage contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring performance and compliance. Coordinate deliveries to align with production schedules. Support forecasting, budgeting, and cost-saving initiatives. Collaborate with QA, production, logistics, and commercial teams. Conduct supplier audits and maintain quality control agreements. Evaluate supply chain costs and identify improvement opportunities. What We’re Looking For 2+ years of experience in procurement preferably withing a food/dairy manufacturing industry. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software. Knowledge of supply chain operations and food safety standards. Essential Criteria Educated to degree level or equivalent in procurement/supply chain. Highly competent with IT systems and the MS office suite Knowledge and understanding of customs, excise and regulatory requirements relating to the supply of goods (ROI, UK) Be part of a growing, ambitious food business with a strong heritage.
