Hospital Chef – Healthcare Catering | Dublin 3

We are recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to support a healthcare facility in Dublin 3, North Dublin. The role involves preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that support patient care and recovery.

The site is easily accessible via Clontarf Road and Killester DART stations and multiple Dublin Bus routes.

This position is suited to chefs seeking structured daytime hours, stable work and a role within healthcare catering.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with clinical dietary requirements
Work across hot food, cold kitchen, preparation, plating and service areas
Maintain consistent quality and smooth daily kitchen operations
Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
Manage stock rotation, storage, labelling and waste control
Ensure allergen compliance and accurate portion control
Work closely with dietitians and healthcare teams
Maintain a clean and compliant healthcare kitchen

Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification
Previous experience as a Hospital Chef or Healthcare Catering Chef
Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Three years of verifiable work references
Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team

Pay & Benefits

€20.50 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Full-time daytime shifts only
No late nights or overnight work
Excellent public transport access (DART & Dublin Bus)
