As our Playworker, your role will be to seamlessly integrate play into the children’s daily learning activities. You will organize, plan, and participate in play and leisure activities for our children. You will also care for and supervise the children, ensuring their safety and happiness. Your role as a Playworker is to guide and support play, ensuring it is enjoyable, inventive, and secure.

You will offer stimulating play opportunities to encourage children to learn, grow, and express themselves. You will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining materials and resources, and ensuring children are safely and comfortably equipped to engage in an activity.

Key Responsibilities
 Supervise children’s games and foster the growth of physical, social, and linguistic abilities.
 Design play areas and prepare resources for a diverse array of children’s activities.
 Promote children’s autonomy, self-assurance, and social interaction.
 Plan and oversee children on outings.
  Coordinate and supervise children’s activities in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
 Respond appropriately to injuries and emergencies.
 Tidy up equipment and sanitize premises post-use.
 Communicate effectively with parents, playworkers, and colleagues, and maintain pertinent records.

Requirements
 Prior experience as a playworker or in a similar role is mandatory.
 Candidates who do not hold certificates (or equivalent) in child care and - education must be willing to work towards obtaining them.
 Garda vetting and full CRB clearance will be required.
