Quantity Surveyor - Senior Position will lead the commercial and cost‑control functions for a major pharmaceutical construction project in Limerick. The role will oversee pre‑contract and contract cost management, sub‑contract packages, variation and risk control, cost forecasting, final accounts and value engineering activities. You will act as the commercial link between the construction team, the client, consultants and subcontractors to ensure delivery on budget, on time and to the required quality and regulatory standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the Senior Quantity Surveyor are outlined as follows:
Minimum of a Level 8 Honours Degree in a relevant Quantity Surveying Qualification.
Minimum of 8 years’ post-qualification experience working in a similar role, preferably in the Pharmaceutical Sector.
Proven track record of commercial leadership on projects of substantial value.
Competent understanding of international, local and bespoke forms of contract such as FIDIC, NEC, IChemE, PWC, etc.
Experience in managing change control, risks, opportunities, budget control and variations is essential.
Experience in monthly routines such as Earned Value Reporting is essential.
Experience in compiling and drafting contractual entitlements is desirable.
Ability to use own initiative, problem solve and adjust as issues arise during contract.
Excellent working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project.
Strong communication skills with a high level of motivation.
