The Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist is responsible for protecting the company’s business interests by ensuring all garage equipment, installations, and service operations meet required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This role supports operational excellence, minimizes risk, reduces rework and liability, and helps maintain customer trust, certifications, and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and oversee quality assurance and compliance frameworks that support business objectives and operational efficiency

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, codes, and industry standards (OSHA, ANSI, ALI, ISO, and local authorities)

Reduce business risk by identifying quality gaps, compliance issues, and safety exposures before they impact customers or operations

Conduct internal audits, inspections, and performance reviews of equipment, installations, and service work

Analyze defects, customer complaints, and non-conformances to drive corrective and preventive actions

Partner with operations, service, and management teams to improve processes, reduce downtime, and control costs

Monitor supplier and vendor quality to ensure purchased equipment and parts meet contractual and regulatory requirements

Maintain accurate documentation to support audits, certifications, insurance requirements, and regulatory reviews

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

Provide reporting and metrics to management on quality performance, compliance status, and risk exposure

Key Requirements: 

Experience in quality assurance, compliance, risk management, or operational oversight

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards in mechanical, industrial, or automotive environments

Ability to evaluate processes from a business, safety, and customer-impact perspective

Proven ability to identify inefficiencies, reduce rework, and improve operational outcomes

Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills

Effective communication skills with technicians, supervisors, vendors, and leadership

Ability to balance compliance requirements with operational and financial priorities

Proficiency in business reporting tools and standard office software
