Metal Maintenance Technician required to work at James J. O’Donnell General Engineering Works Limited at Atlas Avenue Dock Road, Limerick, V94VW71, Ireland. Must have relevant experience in the role. Duties: examines drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine appropriate methods, materials, equipment, and sequence of operations for metalwork projects; assists in the fabrication, preparation, and assembly of metal structures and components for industrial use; carries out surface preparation of metal structures, including abrasive blasting and mechanical cleaning, to remove corrosion, coatings, and contaminants; applies protective and industrial coatings to metal structures to ensure corrosion resistance, durability, and compliance with technical specifications; installs metal structures and assemblies on-site, ensuring correct alignment, secure fixing, and compliance with safety and quality standards; undertakes repair, refurbishment, and maintenance works on existing metal structures, including surface restoration and protective treatment; inspects completed work to verify quality, adherence to specifications, and long-term performance requirements; uses and maintains hand tools, power tools, blasting equipment, and coating application systems in accordance with safety regulations.
