Location: Clonakilty, County Cork Employer: Clonakilty Poultry Farms Ltd. Salary: €36,600 per annum Contract: Full-time, permanent (39 hours per week) Closing Date: 28 February 2026 About Us Clonakilty Poultry Farms Ltd. is a small family-owned breeding farm in Clonakilty, West Cork, specializing in animal reproduction and rearing operations. We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure efficient, sustainable production. Job Purpose To plan, organise and manage all farm activities, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and productivity in a small-scale breeding environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and direct breeding programmes, including selection of breeding stock, hatching and early rearing Manage daily farm operations, including feeding, health monitoring and facility maintenance Supervise a small team of farm workers and ensure compliance with health, safety and biosecurity regulations Monitor and control production costs, including feed, supplies and equipment Maintain accurate records of stock, production and financial performance Implement sustainable practices to improve efficiency and meet Bord Bia and EU standards Liaise with suppliers, veterinarians and regulatory bodies Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain smooth farm workflow Requirements Bachelor's degree in Agronomy (or equivalent agricultural qualification) Minimum 2 years' experience in farm management or breeding operations Strong organisational and leadership skills Knowledge of animal welfare, biosecurity and Irish farming regulations Excellent communication skills in English Ability to work flexibly in a rural farm setting What We Offer Competitive salary of €36,600 per annum 25 days annual leave + public holidays How to Apply Please email your CV to Ursulawhelton@hotmail.com
