Darren Mccartney Engineering Limited is seeking skilled Metal Fabricators to join the team. The role involves manufacturing and assembling metal components and structures according to engineering drawings and project specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role is critical to support ongoing projects that require welding skills. 

Key Responsibilities: 
Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications. 
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal parts using fabrication equipment and tools. 
Operate machinery such as cutting machines, drills, grinders, and bending equipment. 
Perform fitting and tack welding of components where required prior to final welding. 
Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance. 
Carry out modifications and repairs as required. 
Maintain tools and equipment in good working conditions. 
Follow all company health and safety procedures. 
Set up and operate welding equipment for MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. 
Perform welding in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) as required. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 
Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator within an engineering or fabrication environment. 
Ability to accurately read and work from engineering drawings. 
Experience operating fabrication and metalworking machinery. 
Basic welding knowledge or experience is an advantage. 
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. 
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team. 
Good communication and teamwork skills. 
Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques is preferred.
