3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Chef (Hospital) to work in a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 9. The role involves preparing nutritious meals that support patient care and the day-to-day operation of a hospital environment. This position is suited to chefs with experience in hospital, healthcare or large-scale catering kitchens who are seeking daytime hours and a structured working environment. The Role You will work in a regulated healthcare kitchen, supporting the delivery of safe and reliable meal services for patients and staff. The role involves working closely with catering management, dietitians and healthcare teams to ensure meals meet dietary, nutritional and clinical requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare and present meals in line with clinical and dietary guidelines Support the daily operation of a busy healthcare kitchen Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards Follow HACCP, cook-chill, food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures Manage food storage, labelling, stock rotation and waste control Ensure allergen awareness and compliance Assist with menu planning and dietary adaptations in line with dietitian guidance Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment Requirements QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent chef qualification Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef or Catering Chef Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems Legal right to work in Ireland Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles. International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16 Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references Reliable, organised and comfortable working in structured environments Availability for a Monday–Sunday roster (daytime shifts only) Pay & Conditions €20.50 per hour Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays Daytime shifts only (no late nights or overnight work) Rostered work in a structured healthcare setting Stable working environment with ongoing placement opportunities Support from an experienced office team and 24/7 on-call service Dublin 9 location, accessible by Dublin Bus and nearby rail routes
