This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process. 


We are a busy shop located in Dungloe, Donegal and would love to offer the correct person a chance to learn many aspects of working within a busy bakery department. 

We produce scones, breads and cakes to a high standard. If you're interested in and have a passion for food, we make most of our products from scratch. This is a great opportunity to learn baking from start to finish. You will work with our expert bakers every day on a one-to-one basis and become part of our Fresh Foods Team. Our bakery will be expanded later this year, and this placement has a high chance of evolving into a full-time position.
 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.

Formal Training:

- Hygiene and food safety training
- WPEP QQI Course 


Informal Training: 

- All aspects of baking within our store.
- Quality controls & presentation.
