Catering Assistant (Wards) – Patient-Facing Healthcare | Dublin 9 3Q Recruitment is recruiting Ward Catering Assistants to support meal and beverage services on healthcare wards in Dublin 9. This is a patient-facing, ward-based role, supporting patients respectfully and safely during mealtimes. This position is suited to candidates who are comfortable working in clinical environments and who understand the importance of dignity, hygiene and accuracy in healthcare food service. Key Responsibilities Deliver meals and beverages to patients on hospital and healthcare wards Set up, distribute and clear meal trays and service trolleys Support accurate meal service in line with dietary and nutritional requirements Follow infection control, hygiene and food safety procedures Communicate clearly with nursing, catering and ward teams Maintain clean, organised and safe ward service areas Requirements Experience in healthcare, catering, hospitality or service-based roles Comfortable working directly with patients Good awareness of infection control, hygiene and food safety standards Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting Five years of verifiable work history or references Reliable, respectful and professional approach Pay & Benefits €17.53 per hour Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays Daytime and rostered shifts available Monday–Sunday roster depending on service needs Structured, well-supported healthcare environment Ongoing training and role support
