Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
This role involves working as part of a dedicated team to maintain the gardens and trails in our busy visitor Eco-centre. It is a varied role, involving physical activities outdoors all year round. This is an excellent opportunity to gain quality, hands-on experience in all aspects of organic horticulture. Accredited training is provided. Duties: - Preparing seed beds - Digging, sowing and harvesting a wide variety of vegetables, legumes and fruit - Maintenance of lawns and common areas - Use of garden power tools, e.g . lawnmower, strimmer, leaf blower - Comply with correct procedures and protocols for organic certification - Correct use of compost and manure - Weeding and clearing areas as needed This position is based in Sonairte Visitor Eco-centre and Gardens, The Ninch, Laytown, Co.
