Duties

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sewing Machinist to support the production of high‑quality boat canvases and related products. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, good technical ability, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently. Sew textile products in line with patterns, measurements, and specifications, with a focus on producing boat canvases for traditional wooden currachs. Work with precision and fine detail to ensure high‑quality results. Prepare and maintain sewing machines, including threading, changing needles, and basic upkeep. Carry out hand‑sewing tasks when required, including finishing and minor repairs. Inspect completed products to ensure they meet quality standards. Collaborate effectively as part of a team. Maintain good timekeeping and reliability in daily work. Adapt to new sewing techniques, materials, and production methods as needed. Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist in a similar role would be preferred.
