Full time Maintenance Operative / Security Officer

Location: Limerick

We are currently recruiting a full time Maintenance Operative / Security Officer for Shopping Centre client.

This role combines elements of basic maintenance, waste management and security duties.

Weekly / Daily Duties will include the following, but this is not a limited list:

Maintenance

Painting

Light bulb fitting

Fixing panelling and/or shelving to walls

Installing car park bollards

Weeding and maintain flower beds

Weed Spraying

Power Washing

Minor roof repairs

Sweeping and gutter cleaning on roof

Waste Management

Driving a tractor unit with trailer moving large bins from retail units to waste compound

Disposing of waste into relevant recycling, food and waste compactors

Litter pick from car park and flower beds

Security

Assisting the on-site security team with any issues that arise throughout the workday

Ensuring a safe environment for staff and customers through proactive enforcement of the Centre Health & Safety policy

Actively deterring crime

Role purpose
You will protect people and property while also ensuring the centre remains clean, presentable, and well maintained throughout your shift. You will work under the direction of the Site Security Manager and follow all company and site procedures.

Key skills and requirements

Valid and in date PSA licence.
Previous experience in maintenance work preferred.
Previous experience in security preferred.
Experience in facilities support an advantage.
Good communication skills and clear spoken English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliable and punctual.
Working pattern and pay

Mon to Fri 06:30 – 15:30
40 hours per week.
Rate €16.50 per hour.
Full time permanent position.
This role suits someone who is proactive, practical, and comfortable taking responsibility for both security and site upkeep.
