This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process. 


You will be assisting in the day to day duties of a food & beverage manufacturing facility.  You will have the opportunity to explore how a semi-automated packaging line operates. 

The candidate will be assisted in the following:

•	The will learn the processes involved in maintaining a high quality standard during the packaging process
•	They will assist with the maintenance of our packaging equipment and work area.
•	They will assist  with Orders from Warehouse and will be  mentored on how we process orders for distribution
•	They will assist in the upkeep  and organisation of our warehouse






 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.  

Formal Training:

- They will learn Manual Handling, (to be provided during the placement)
- They will learn Forklift training (to be provided during the placement)

Informal Training:

- The candidate will be mentored on our order processing picking, packing and preparation for dispatch to customers and distributors
- The candidate will be trained to assist in the upkeep and organisation of our warehouse
- The candidate will receive on-the-job training to operate our ABE Craft Can 35 Can Packaging Line.
- The candidate will be instructed on maintaining high quality standards during the packaging process.
- The candidate will be trained in the maintenance of our packaging equipment and work area.
