Hospital Chef – Healthcare Catering | Dublin 18 3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to work in a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 18. The role involves preparing nutritious meals that support patient care and the daily operation of a clinical environment. The workplace is accessible via the Green Line Luas and Dublin Bus services. This position is suitable for chefs with experience in hospital, healthcare or large-scale catering kitchens who are seeking daytime hours in a structured healthcare setting. The Role You will work as part of a healthcare catering team, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of meals to patients and staff. The role includes working with catering management and healthcare professionals to ensure meals meet dietary and clinical requirements. Main Duties Prepare and present meals in line with clinical and dietary guidelines Support the daily operation of a healthcare kitchen Maintain food quality, portion control and presentation standards Follow HACCP, cook-chill, food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures Manage food storage, labelling, stock rotation and waste control Ensure allergen compliance at all times Work with dietitians on menu planning and dietary adjustments Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment Requirements QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional qualification Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef or Catering Chef Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems Legal right to work in Ireland Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references Reliable and organised, with the ability to work in structured environments Availability for a Monday–Sunday roster (daytime shifts only) Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles. International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16 Pay & Conditions €20.50 per hour Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays Daytime shifts only – no late nights or overnight work Rostered across the week as required Structured healthcare working environment Ongoing placement opportunities Supported by an experienced office team with 24/7 on-call support Dublin 18 location, accessible via Green Line Luas and Dublin Bus
