Ward Catering Assistant – Healthcare Wards | Dublin 18

3Q Recruitment is recruiting Ward Catering Assistants to support meal and beverage services on healthcare wards in Dublin 18. This is a ward-based, patient-facing role within a clinical environment.

The workplace is accessible via the Green Line Luas and Dublin Bus services.

This position is suitable for candidates who are comfortable working directly with patients and who understand the importance of dignity, hygiene and accuracy in healthcare food service.

The Role

You will work as part of a ward-based catering team, supporting daily meal service for patients. The role involves working closely with nursing staff, catering teams and ward supervisors to ensure meals are delivered safely, correctly and on time.

Main Duties

Deliver meals and beverages to patients on healthcare wards
Set up, distribute and clear meal trays and service trolleys
Support meal service in line with dietary and nutritional requirements
Follow infection control, hygiene and food safety procedures
Communicate with nursing, catering and ward teams
Maintain clean, safe and organised ward service areas

Requirements

Experience in healthcare, catering, hospitality or service-based roles
Comfortable working directly with patients in a clinical environment
Knowledge of infection control, hygiene and food safety standards
Legal right to work in Ireland
Ability to provide five years of work history or references
Reliable and professional approach to work
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

Pay & Conditions

€17.53 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime and rostered shifts available
Monday to Sunday roster, depending on service requirements
