Waterford & Suir Valley Railway Co. CLG (WSVR) is a community led heritage social enterprise, and a registered charity, based at Kilmeadan and dedicated to providing a unique railway experience. General Manager Role We are recruiting a General Manager who respects the legacy of WSVR and will provide leadership to the business to ensure our heritage operation remains financially stable and socially relevant for the next generation of visitors. Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include • People & Culture – leading a small employee team and recruiting, managing and supporting the volunteers • Operational Excellence – overseeing daily site activity and compliance • Strategic Leadership – driving business development and long-term growth • Financial Stewardship – manage revenue and expenditure budgets • Brand Advocacy – leading sales and marketing and community stakeholder engagement The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach to their duties and have proven professional and leadership skills including commercial acumen, operational management, health and safety compliance, financial literacy and ability to engage with stakeholders.
