Job description:
Advanced Maintenance and Energy Solutions Based in Athy, Co. Kildare. We provide a full maintenance service to our clients throughout the greater Leinster region. We are currently recruiting for a Electrical Maintenance Technician for our client based in Kildare. This role is part of a wider team and reports to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. This is a permanent, onsite role offering long-term career potential in a high-performance facility environment. The role will suit somebody who holds an Electrical craft certificate (or equivalent) and has experience or is looking for a career change in industrial maintenance. 

About the Role:
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the site’s electrical systems. You’ll work hands-on in a dynamic technical environment where your expertise will directly contribute to minimizing downtime and enhancing operational reliability.

Role & Responsibilities:
•	Responding to alarms/faults in a safe efficient and timely manner ensuring the process remains in control.
•	Conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual equipment preventative maintenance checks.
•	Ensure that all maintenance activities & repairs are recorded in accordance with site procedures.
•	Help to further develop asset care procedures and SOPs
•	Take an active part in continuous improvements and maintenance projects.
•	Adherence to the company’s health and safety policy and procedures.
•	Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements.
•	Run tests on electrical components to ensure a safe and effective installation.
•	Inspect electrical systems and equipment for any damage, malfunctions, and safety hazards.
•	Providing professional assessments and advice for customers.
•	Review maintenance work orders and ensure all requirements/preparations are fully undertaken before commencing work.
•	Working with the Production & maintenance team to achieve results.

The ideal Candidate:
•	Maintenance Electrician: 2-year experience in a maintenance environment (Preferred)
•	National Craft Certificate Electrical trade Fetac level 6 or equivalent suitable qualification
•	Multi-skilled /cross-skilled Ethos
•	Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on mindset
•	Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic/trouble shooting in a high-volume environment.
•	Team player with a can-do attitude
•	Willingness to participate fully in training and development in cross skilling and other job-related competencies.
•	Candidates need to be comfortable using IT systems as part of their role.
•	Good knowledge of PLC system a distinct advantage
•	Good knowledge and use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
The hours for this role are on a shift basis. Full training will be given prior to commencement.
