Due to continued growth a vacancy now exists for a Purchaser based at our Head Office in Galway. Responsibilities Obtaining quotes, placing orders, ensuring agreed rates and terms are set up with suppliers and agreeing rates to maximise financial efficiency. Procuring building materials, processing purchase orders through purchasing software and following through to payment stage. Procuring and hiring plant required on site including cabins, forklifts, fencing, transport etc. Managing plant & equipment movement. General purchasing administration as required. A competitive package is being offered to the successful candidate. Qualifications Prior experience in a purchasing role in construction/builders providers is desirable but not essential, however experience on building materials from a previous role is advantageous.
