Robinson Farm is a market garden producing vegetables year-round for two farmers’ markets in Cork City and Macroom. We are seeking a full-time Horticultural Worker to join our team for the 2026 growing season. Key duties and responsibilities include: Vegetable production across the full growing cycle (propagation, transplanting and crop maintenance) Assisting with crop planning and succession planting Soil preparation, fertility management and sustainable growing practices Supervision and coordination of seasonal students and volunteers Harvesting, packing and preparation for farmers’ markets General maintenance of growing areas, polytunnels and equipment Assisting and/or leading other necessary farm operations Desired qualifications and experience: A third-level qualification in horticulture, agriculture, environmental science or a related discipline, and/or A minimum of two years’ practical experience in vegetable production, market gardening or nursery-based horticulture Skills and attributes: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Good level of physical fitness (lifting up to 20kg, bending and kneeling for extended periods) Positive attitude and genuine interest in local food and sustainable agriculture This is a full-time, paid position based on-site just outside of Cloughduv, Co.
