MICA'S FOOD LIMITED based at 1, The Dale, Whitefield Hall, Co. Meath , is looking for a skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join their culinary team at Yo Sushi Kiosk in Co Louth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily food preparation, maintaining high hygiene standards, and ensuring that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet agreed quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Minimum of HACCP training;
Prepare daily food items in accordance with HACCP quality and safety standards;
Plans menus, prepares, seasons and cooks foodstuffs or oversees their preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes;
Supervises, organises and instructs kitchen staff and manages the whole kitchen or an area of the kitchen;
Ensures relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen;
Plans and co-ordinates kitchen work such as fetching, clearing and cleaning of equipment and utensils;
Minimize food wastage and manage kitchen stock efficiently;
Estimate daily production needs and manage stock levels responsibly;
Foster a positive and creative working environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Proven 2 years’ experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
Passion for high-quality food and presentation.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €36,610 per year
