Western Alzheimers is currently recruiting for Healthcare Support Assistants within our In-Home Respite Sitter Service in the following areas; Ballindrimley, Tobohine, Trien, Castlerea, Williamstown, Castleplunkett, Ballintuber, Ballinlough, Frenckpark, Tulsk, Ballymoe and Kilmurry Co. Roscommon. This is a Community Employment Placement Programme offering a great opportunity for someone looking to return to work, up-skill and gain further experience working with our Elderly clients who reside at home, where we provide a person-centered service. Our In-home respite sitter service may be the perfect job for you, while also allowing you to further your career, by participating in healthcare support training which will help you achieve your QQI /FETAC Level 5. One to One guidance and mentoring will be provided, to develop your confidence and competencies within your role. Duties include caring for people with Alzheimers Disease/Dementia, Companioship, Cognitive stimulation, assisting with personal care, preparing meals, social engagement, stimulating therapeutic activities etc. If you feel you have the essential qualities to work with us.
