Cost Management Accountant North County Dublin €65k - €75k + Package We are working with this well-established organisation within the manufacturing and distribution sector to hire an experienced Cost Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role is a new role in the organisation with lots of opportunity to make you mark by providing accurate cost information, supporting operational decision-making, and driving cost efficiency across production and distribution functions. Your role will be responsible for analysing, interpreting, and recording financial data related to production costs. The position plays a key role in managing inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and variance analysis, ensuring management has clear, reliable insights to optimize manufacturing and distribution expenses. Analyse, interpret, and record financial data relating to production, manufacturing, and distribution costs Manage inventory valuation, standard costing, and COGS Perform detailed variance analysis and provide clear explanations for operational and management teams Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting policies, procedures, and systems Identify cost drivers and recommend opportunities to improve cost efficiency and operational performance Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost modelling processes Prepare regular management reports highlighting cost trends, variances, and risks Work closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to strengthen cost controls Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within finance and operations You will have; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Professional qualification or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in cost accounting, within a manufacturing or distribution environment is essential. Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel capability Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally Apply for immediate consideration with your CV
