General
•	To be part of a team with shared responsibility for the delivery of the highest level of care to the young people within the centre.
•	To contribute to the development of the centre, in the provision of a safe, stable, caring and therapeutic environment for the young people resident in the centre.
•	To assist the Manager, Deputy Manager, Social Care Leaders and Social Care Workers in providing the highest standard of care.
•	To share in the responsibility for the maintaining a sufficiently high standard of hygiene in the centre.
•	To carry out any other duties that may be determined from time to time by the Centre Manager


Young People
•	To ensure that the rights of the young people are respected and upheld.
•	To provide a positive life experience for the young people in all aspects of their welfare.
•	To engage with the young people within their community and/or family setting.
•	To support young people in having an active role in their own care.




Colleagues and the Organisation
•	To assist colleagues in the delivery of care to the young people.
•	To attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, training and induction as directed.
•	To share in those duties that are essential to the maintenance of hygiene and the domestic duties required to maintain the centre in a clean and tidy environment.
•	To be aware of the obligations on employees under the provisions of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.


Candidates must possess:
Social Care Qualification – Level 5/6
Or a professional qualification (Level 5/ 6 or above) in:
•	Nursing/Psychiatric Nursing
•	Addiction Counselling
•	Psychology
•	Teaching
•	Social Science/Social Studies
•	Youth & Community
•	Family Support
•	Disability Studies
•	Early Years Care
•	Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy
•	Social Work
