Job Title: Data Technician
Employer: Thomond Communications Ltd
Location: Unit 48, Eastlink Business Park, Ballysimon Road, Limerick - V94R773 / and various locations around Limerick County and Region as client’s necessities.
Salary: €38,480 p.a.
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Responsibilities:
Work in customer’s Data centre, providing technical support.
Execute the Work Pack according with the Supervisor Instructions.
Daily monitor and maintain the network, ensure network availability so that the remote users can have stable access to the servers.
Engage in site layout, network construction planning, quality control and ensure data safety.
Supervise server support specialist to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
Perform pre-work Safety Risk Assessment.
Assure that all exclusions zones and traffic management is correctly performed and accordingly with regulations.
Assure all works are performed within customer quality requirements and technical guidelines and procedures.
Report production by procedures stablished by company policies.
Responsible for the installation termination & testing of structured cabling systems.
Requirements:
Experience in working as data centre or similar role.
Ability to diagnose data communications problems with using specialised tools, test equipment, and software utilities.
Ability to work as a team.
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Customer-driven oriented.
Applicant must have a good command of the English language.
