Job Title: HGV Driver Location: Dublin Job Type: Permanent Job Summary We are currently seeking a professional and reliable HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across Ireland. You will be the face of our company, ensuring that our reputation for excellence and reliability is maintained with every delivery. Key Responsibilities Safe Operation: Operating Rigid Class C / Artic Class CE vehicles in accordance with the Road Safety Authority (RSA) standards. Route Planning: Planning and executing efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines. Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting daily walk-around checks and reporting any defects to the Transport Manager immediately. Load Security: Ensuring all loads are correctly and safely secured using straps, chains, or bars to prevent damage during transit. Compliance: Strict adherence to EU Drivers’ Hours and Tachograph regulations. Paperwork: Managing Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, digital signatures, and in-cab technology. Requirements & Qualifications Driving License: Full, clean Irish Driving License (Category C or CE). Driver CPC: Up-to-date Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card. Digicard: Valid Digital Tachograph card. Experience: Minimum of [1–2] years’ experience driving HGVs in Ireland is preferred (though newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply for certain roles). Skills: Excellent spatial awareness, reversing skills, and a strong understanding of the Irish road network. Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) for communication with customers and transport planners.
