Proper removal of scaffolding
Repairing guard rails and safety netting
Positioning base plates on the ground at regular intervals (to prevent the upright poles from slipping)
Erecting the scaffolding poles (standards) and attaching the horizontal tubes (ledgers) with couplings
Unloading scaffolding equipment at the site
Securing the scaffolding to the building or structure with short 'tie tubes' for added stability
Laying battens across the scaffolding for workers to walk on
