Hannify Logistics Ltd. based in Lamagh, NewtownForbes, Co. Longford, N39 A7Y4 are seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanic to join our growing team. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of company fleet vehicles within a logistics operation.
Responsibilities of the job include - 
•	Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in light and commercial vehicles using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
•	Carrying out routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and scheduled inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
•	Repairing or replacing defective components including engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering, and exhaust systems.
•	Conducting pre-NCT/CVRT inspections and preparing vehicles to meet road safety and regulatory standards.
•	Ensuring all vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy condition to support operational requirements.
•	Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service reports, and documentation in compliance with company procedures.
•	Responding to vehicle breakdowns and carrying out emergency repairs where required.
•	Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and workshop safety standards.
•	Managing spare parts inventory and ensuring proper use and care of tools and workshop equipment.
•	Liaising with drivers and management to identify vehicle issues and schedule necessary repairs.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications.
The ideal candidate requires a high level of technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to ensure fleet efficiency and minimal operational downtime.  
•	A recognised qualification in Motor Mechanics (e.g., QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Motor Mechanics or equivalent trade qualification). Desirable. 
•	A minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience working as a mechanic, preferably with commercial vehicles.
•	Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle faults.
•	Experience working with diesel engines and commercial fleet vehicles is desirable.
•	Good understanding of vehicle safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
•	Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•	Good communication skills and attention to detail.

•	Hours of Work – 39 hours weekly
•	Annual Salary - € 36,605
