Social Care Leader – Athlone | Community & Residential Care Leadership We are recruiting a Social Care Leader in Athlone to support service delivery across community and residential care programmes for young people and families. This is a senior role focused on quality, consistency and safeguarding, supporting teams and service users alike. The role includes shared working between Athlone and Mullingar, ensuring joined-up care and leadership continuity. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of safe, person-centred care within regulated services Supervise staff, provide mentorship and support professional development Oversee care plans aligned with recovery, resilience and wellbeing goals Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and external support agencies Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding and health & safety Maintain detailed care documentation and service records Promote independence, structure and positive outcomes for young people Requirements Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related discipline Minimum 3 years’ experience in social care, including leadership exposure Strong understanding of HIQA, child protection and safeguarding frameworks Excellent communication, leadership and organisational ability Full driving licence advantageous Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
