Social Care Leader – Mullingar | Youth & Community Care Leadership Role

We are seeking a Social Care Leader in Mullingar to provide leadership and oversight within a youth-focused community care service. This role supports young people under 18 and their families, delivering structured care, guidance and safeguarding within a regulated environment.

This position includes one day per week in Mullingar and one day per week in Athlone, ensuring continuity of care across services.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and leadership oversight within a community care setting
Supervise and support a team of Social Care Workers and support staff
Lead care planning processes focused on recovery, wellbeing and independence
Support families through guidance, communication and advocacy
Coordinate with CAMHS, Tusla, youth services, schools and healthcare providers
Identify and manage risk, ensuring safe and compliant service delivery
Uphold HIQA standards, safeguarding policies and organisational procedures
Participate in case conferences, audits and professional supervision
Requirements
Level 7 qualification in Social Care or related field
Proven experience in social care leadership or senior support roles
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children First and rights-based care
Confident decision-maker with strong interpersonal skills
Driving licence desirable. 
Legal Right to Work In Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
