We are recruiting a Kitchen Assistant to join a busy healthcare facility in Dublin 24, supporting the preparation, delivery and service of nutritious meals for patients and staff. This is a frontline healthcare support role, where your work directly contributes to patient comfort, safety and recovery.

This role suits candidates with experience in kitchen assistant, catering assistant or healthcare food service roles, who value structure, teamwork and consistent daytime work in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with meal preparation and service for patients and staff
Deliver meals to wards and support patients respectfully during mealtimes
Maintain high hygiene standards across kitchens, trolleys, equipment and utensils
Follow HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures at all times
Stock, label and rotate ward pantry supplies correctly
Support daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth, reliable service
Work collaboratively with catering teams, ward staff and supervisors
Requirements
6–12 months’ experience as a Kitchen Assistant or Catering Assistant
Healthcare or hospital kitchen experience is an advantage
Working knowledge of HACCP food safety standards
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
Reliable, flexible and a strong team player with good communication skills
Salary & Benefits
€17.53 per hour
Double Pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Full-time daytime hours, typically 7:00am–6:30pm
