Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

You will support the work of the youth center in developing, organizing, and delivering tailored programs to support the youth learners in the project delivery area. This will range from homework clubs, youth clubs, QQI classes, hobby clubs,  soccer clubs, gardening and horticulture, as well as occasional chaperoned trips. 

This is a developmental opportunity and no experience is necessary. All training with be provided. 

Requirements: 

•	Willingness to start QQI Lv. 5 in Youthwork (Fees paid and delivered onsite)
•	This major award has direct links to entry to the Maynooth lv. 8 arts degree program.
•	Garda vetting
•	Positive attitude and willingness to engage 
•	Motivated and willing to pitch in

Duties: 

•	Dealing with vulnerable children and teens
•	Assisting in programs and classrooms as needed between 9am and 1pm
•	Attending youthclubs (Thurs and/or Fri 6pm – 9pm)
•	Weekend Work in moderation (will be discussed at interview if applicable)
