Job description We wish to appoint a Horticulture Worker to join our team in Ballygarvan, Co. Cork, Ireland. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in horticulture. Key responsibilities: • Maintain storage areas for plants & related products • Inspect new plants arriving to the nursery to ensure they are disease free • Oversee the optimum care of plants in the nursery on a daily basis, following daily feeding regimes & seasonal regimes such as pruning • Remove harmful insects and unhealthy stems, optimising plant health • Ensure hygiene and safety standards are always followed, ensuring that your work area is maintained to be a clean and safe place to work in. • Use horticultural equipment and maintain this equipment Requirements: • Able and willing to follow instructions • Problem solving skills and good decision making skills • Proficient in speaking English • Previous experience is not necessary This is a full time position, minimum 39 hours per week. *An offer of accommodation may be made to the successful candidate.
