Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

The aim of this programme is to provide you with the skills and competencies required to work as part of a team on a range of environmental projects 
The role will involve preparation of sewing beds for flowers and shrubs, trimming and maintaining shrubbery, applying pesticides at particular times of the year (This element involves training and licencing and only those who are trained and licenced to do so will be allowed partake of this task)
The role also involves some painting, furniture movement and paving.
As this is a developmental role, the candidate will be provided with both in-house and external training opportunities in order that they be allowed develop their skills and acquire qualifications and competencies which will assist them in attaining a full-time position in the future. This role would also lay the groundwork for those who may wish to gain a future qualification in the building or horticultural industries. Full information on training opportunities will be provided.
