CAIT Roscomáin IT Tutor. We are inviting applications for the role of an IT Tutor to join our dedicated team. Applicants must have a valid driving licence, their own transport and live in Roscommon, Leitrim or the surrounding area The main focus of the role is the development and delivery of IT training programmes to national schools using our suite of laptops. The successful applicant will also deliver programmes to other customers when needed. Additional aspects of the role include working closely with teachers and teaching assistants, coordination and reporting of activities, assistance with marketing and promotion, helping to maintain and update the new website (currently under construction), and to carry out other administrative tasks appropriate to the role. The ideal candidate will have experience in a teaching environment and/or appropriate teaching qualifications, excellent communication and record keeping skills, generally good ICT skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Additional training will be provided. The role will involve visiting national schools throughout the region so the successful applicant must have access to their own transport. Garda vetting will be required for working with schools and vulnerable adults. We offer Computer Courses to the rural community of Co. Roscommon and the surrounding counties by using our mobile suite of laptops. Our national school programme is operating throughout the midland counties and is very popular with all students. Funding for this project is provided by The Department of Employment Affairs & Social Protection through Pobal. We are hoping to conduct interviews before Easter.
