Pay: €36,605.00 per year Job Overview Hibernia Steel Products Ltd. are seeking skilled and experienced Metal CNC Operators to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Light Gauge Steel (LGS), CNC machine operation, blueprint reading, and precision fabrication. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality production of steel components used in construction and industrial applications. Core Technical Expertise Light Gauge Steel (LGS) Knowledge Strong understanding of cold-formed steel properties and fabrication techniques. Experience working with LGS materials used in cladding, roofing, and framing. Precision Measurement & Blueprint Reading Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify tolerances and dimensions. Solid understanding of geometric angles, especially those relevant to steel bending and folding (e.g., 90° bends, custom flashings). Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD specifications, translating them into correct machine settings and outputs. Machine Operation Proven experience operating CNC press brakes or folders for LGS fabrication. Knowledge of roll-forming principles, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of box profile and corrugated sheet roll-forming lines. Experience with automated cut-to-length lines for precision steel coil cutting and sequencing. Fabrication & Quality Skills Steel Fabrication Processes Familiarity with cutting, bending, forming, and finishing steel components. Strong understanding of fabrication tolerances, especially for light gauge steel. Quality Control (QC) Commitment to delivering accurate results on the first attempt. Ability to perform in-process and final inspections to ensure all finished profiles meet required specifications for dimension, angle, and surface quality. Material Handling Skilled in safely handling steel coils, sheets, and finished steel profiles. Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts (certification an advantage). Desirable Soft Skills & Attributes Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve machine or material issues on the production line. Adaptability & Multi-Skilling: Willingness to work across multiple stations, including CNC, cut line, and roll-forming operations. Safety-Focused: Strict adherence to factory safety protocols, with strong awareness of risks associated with heavy machinery and steel handling. 40 Hours.
