The Faculty of Arts and Tourism is the discipline home for Journalism and Communications.  Offering 1 of the oldest journalism qualifications in Ireland,  and is looking for applicants who will be able to teach an undergraduate stuents:
•	Editorial and Print Design 
•	Typography and Design Communications 
•	Web design and UX
•	Social Media, SEO and analytics

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they are an excellent and flexible educator in a broad-based media environment and will be required to deliver modules across a range of journalism and media disciplines. The candidate will be required to demonstrate evidence of innovation and competency in teaching in traditional, hybrid and online environments.   
In addition to delivering and assessing of modules, the successful candidate will also participate in programme development and quality assurance including curriculum development, programme administration and student pastoral care. Evidence of having led module delivery and programme development and undertaken significant academic administration roles is relevant. 
The successful candidate will be an active and experienced practitioner in journalism and design. A track record of industry experience and practice output consistent with the applicant’s career stage is expected.

Hours of Work: This is a wholetime post. In addition to teaching hours (up to 18 hours per week) is in operation.  

Location: The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Grangegorman, Blanchardstown or Tallaght. Regular attendance at other sites will be required..

Salary: 
The Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale is:
•	€51,664 - €63,375
•	€47,101 - €63,375 New Entrants
It is expected that appointees will commence at point 1 of the Assistant Lecturer pay scale. 
Unless the arrangements set out in Circular Letter IT 01/05 apply.
