This position is based in Churchfield Community Trust. The support worker will receive formal/informal training. The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and organisational skills and a knowledge of woodcraft. The position is a developmental opportunity. Duties for position: • Supervise and support woodwork workshop sessions in a safe and supportive environment • Teach basic woodwork, tool safety, and practical skills • Use hands-on learning to support individuals with literacy and learning challenges • Empower service users to build confidence, organisational skills, and work readiness • Support sustainability through woodcraft and upcycling activities • Develop links to ETB-accredited training, Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and work experience opportunities • Refer participants to relevant support workers when required.
