Job Description First Year Apprentice Vacancy Irish Cement Platin Works is seeking to recruit an Electrical Apprentice for a 4-year programme. Irish Cement Limited is part of CRH plc and has manufactured cement in Ireland for over 85 years. It operates two modern cement factories, one in Platin, Drogheda, Co Louth and a second in Caslemungret, Co Limerick. Candidates must have: * Leaving Certificate with five passes in ordinary level subjects (English and Maths must be two of these. A minimum of O4 in Maths is required). * Ishihara Colour Vision Test or approved equivalent. Only applications with Leaving Certificate and Colour Vision Form can be processed. Positions available for this year’s Leaving Cert students, with offers pending results. The ideal candidate should have the following attributes: * The ability to follow Health and Safety requirements at all times. * A good attitude to work and a keen interest in electrical tasks. * A good coordination and manual skills. * Excellent spoken and written English. Candidates will be required to attend aptitude testing for these positions.
