G&J Kearns Developments Ltd t/a Gerry Kearns Plant Hire are currently looking to hire an experienced HGV Driver to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transport, delivery, and collection of plant and machinery equipment to and from customer sites while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company procedures. Key Responsibilities Operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) to transport plant and construction equipment to various customer locations. Safely load, secure, and unload machinery such as mini diggers, dumpers, telehandlers, and other plant equipment. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues. Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported in compliance with transport regulations. Provide excellent customer service when delivering and collecting equipment from clients. Complete delivery documentation and transport records accurately. Follow all health and safety regulations when operating vehicles and handling plant machinery. Assist with basic operation or demonstration of equipment to customers if required. Maintain cleanliness and general condition of company vehicles. Coordinate with the plant hire office and yard staff regarding delivery schedules and equipment availability. Work involves outdoor environments and manual handling when securing loads. 45 hours per week. Job Type: Full-time
