Ashgrove Wholesale Ltd., is a leading meat processing facility in Limerick specialising in beef, pork, and lamb for domestic and export markets, is seeking experienced Meat Processing Operatives. 
We operate to the highest EU and Irish food safety standards, including full HACCP compliance. The position involves routine processing tasks in a chilled production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process meat products on the production line, including cutting, trimming, portioning, deboning, and preparing carcasses for further processing or packaging.
Operate and attend to machinery for grinding, mixing, blending, chilling, freezing, or other treatment of meat.
Perform visual inspections of meat for quality and defects, conduct basic temperature checks with simple instruments, and report any issues as part of line operations.
Maintain hygiene and cleaning of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with food safety protocols.
Assist in packaging, labelling, weighing, and preparing products for storage or dispatch.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment with shift patterns and repetitive physical duties.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' proven experience in meat processing, abattoir/frigorífico, or similar food production roles.
Practical knowledge of meat handling, basic food safety practices, and working in chilled conditions.
Ability to perform manual tasks accurately and follow hygiene/safety procedures.
No formal qualifications or third-level education required – selection based on verifiable work experience and references.
