Derry White Agricultural Contractors Limited, a leading provider of waste management and storage services in Ireland, is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will contribute to the upkeep and protection of our fleet of skips (waste containers) and warehouse facilities, ensuring they meet high standards of durability and appearance in line with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces of metal skips, warehouse walls, floors, and equipment by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or using blowlamps to remove old paint or varnish. Select, match, and mix paints, varnishes, and protective coatings to achieve the required finish, focusing on weather-resistant and anti-corrosive materials suitable for industrial environments. Apply paint, varnish, or other protective and decorative coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or mechanical sprays. Paint designs or markings on skips and warehouse structures, including safety signage on metal, plastics, and other materials. Stain, wax, or French polish wood elements in warehouse fittings where required. Examine specifications and drawings to determine materials needed and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in waste management operations. Perform routine maintenance painting to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities in a busy warehouse setting. Requirements: Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a painter, preferably in industrial or construction settings (e.g., painting metal containers, vehicles, or buildings). Knowledge of health and safety practices, including working at heights and with hazardous materials. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
