We have 2 positions available on our Level 6 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship with a start date of August 2026.

This is a 2 year programme in conjunction with ATU Sligo or Galway. Our apprenticeship consists of 4 days working and 1 day of on-line learning every week, all facilitated from our Castlebar office. Apprentices are also required to attend ATU Sligo or Galway for the first week of each semester and once a month to complete labs/workshops. Apprentices will be assigned a mentor who will guide and assist them throughout their apprenticeship and provide them with technical expertise and skills to ensure learning outcomes are achieved. You will be using CAD/BIM packages and developing skills by working through projects from concept to completion.
Attendance at all scheduled training and achieving the various certifications involved, is a mandatory requirement for you to successfully complete the programme. On completion, a Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering (Level 6) on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) will be awarded.

Entry Requirements 
• At least 18 years of age in September 2026 
• QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) 
• Pass Grade in Maths at Level 5 (or Equivalent) 
• Solid literacy, verbal, and numeracy skills 
• Good computer skills 
• CAD or DCG experience an advantage
