This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.


Ireland Website Design is seeking a web development assistant to join our team to learn the ropes of building modern websites.

The successful candidate will get to have a good sense of web development and could become an experienced front end web developer on completion of the placement. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn and work in an agile creative agency environment where a supportive atmosphere is available with a team of developers to work along side.

This will be a Work Placement and Experience Programme role.

As a result of this placement you will hopefully be ready to work in the web industry developing websites. 
This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.

The participant will receive formal/informal training and mentoring in the following:

Formal:
Building & Maintaining websites in WordPress
Coding in HTML and CSS
Using Figma prototyping tool
Other CMS platforms such as Shopify and Joomla


Informal Training:
Testing web projects before deployment
Working with other team members on web projects including eCommerce websites
Sitting in on client meetings with other web developers
Using project management tools like Teamwork
Search Engine Optimisation of websites
Troubleshooting issues
