Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Working as part of a dedicated and experienced team, you will assist us in maintaining and keeping our beautiful scenic villages in Donacarney and Mornington clean and tidy.
Job Title: Tidy Towns Operative
Location: Donacarney/Mornington
Duties:
- Follow a weekly schedule of litter picking along the roads in the area
- Flower bed maintenance – planting, weeding and watering
- Clearing weeds along footpaths and along walls
- Strimming hedges and banks
- Cleaning and painting of pillar fountains and planters and other street furniture
- Keeping pathways clean and clear
- Assist with separation of waste and safe storage at designated locations for
collection by Meath County Council
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of Church grounds and Community
Centre
- Safe use and storage of tools and equipment
- Report all incidents to the Tidy Towns committee
- Planting trees and shrubs
- Assist with preparation for Tidy Towns competitions and Pride of Place Awards
This position is based in Donacarney and Mornington, Co. Meath
Full training is provided. Applicants need to be flexible and willing to learn.
This is a varied role involving outdoor manual work all year round.
